Education Programs

The Friends of Algonquin Park offers various educational programs throughout the year to better appreciate the natural and cultural history of Algonquin Park. We also work cooperative with various partners, including Ontario Parks, to fullfill our educational mandate.

Education Programs include:

Group Education Program
Educational programs for school, youth, and adult groups directly linked to the Park’s natural and cultural history themes.

Experience Algonquin Workshops
Workshops led by expert instructors for individuals or small groups on a variety of natural and cultural history topics.

Summer Interpretive Program
One of the best ways to get to know Algonquin Provincial Park is through the Park’s well-known interpretive program. The interpretive program runs daily during July and August and on some fall weekends and includes the popular Public Wolf Howl program

Junior Ranger Program
Free activity booklets allowing youth aged 12 and under to discover more about Algonquin Park's history, wildlife and recreation.

Park Helper Program
Organized beach and campground clean-ups for children and youth.
