Meet the Researcher
Algonquin's Wildlife Research Station invites you to spend time with researchers who use Algonquin Park as their laboratory. Meet those who study reptiles and amphibians, birds, small mammals, fish, wolves, and even humans (through archaeology).
A fund-raising barbecue is hosted by The Friends of Algonquin Park in support of research in the Park, and free draws take place for great prizes generously donated by local businesses and organizations.

Join volunteers from the Toronto Centre of the Royal Astronomical Society of Canada and get a first-hand look at the Algonquin night sky through telescopes set up on the beach.

June 25 to July 28, 2010 Algonquin: An Intimate Perception.
Artist Joan Tovey presents her perception of glorious nature through delicate renditions of birds, wildflowers, and trees set against fluid backgrounds of natural surroundings. View framed original watercolours and giclee prints in a range of sizes.
July 30 to August 25, 2010 Painted Images of Algonquin.
Inspired by the great natural beauty of Algonquin, Lloyd Wilson's oil paintings are representative of his many canoe excursions in the Park's backcountry.
Algonquin Moments.
For the past ten years, photographer Peter Ferguson has captured special moments in Algonquin Park. Whether a misty autumn morning, a summer sunrise, or a Common Loon drifting on a quiet lake, these moments come together to create the ultimate Algonquin experience.
August 27 to September 29, 2010 Fur & Feathers.
Photographer William Bickle presents almost 60 images of birds and mammals native to Algonquin Park. A digital presentation of his images set to music will run concurrently, and there will be a draw for one photograph at the show's end (people's choice).
October 1 to October 31, 2010 Mystery of the Park.
A collection of original paintings by members of the East Central Ontario Art Association. This popular exhibition, now in its 18th season, includes a variety of artistic interpretations and styles with a common theme: the grandeur of Algonquin Park's wilderness landscape.
